Leadership

Working effectively and closely with key stakeholders and individual teams to solve complex problems and drive change programs that fulfill business goals and objectives.

forms document library

I worked with the business sponsors, project management team and the offshore development team to successfully provide a consolidated single enterprise solution that provided a searchable forms library for our employees and partners. We were task to merge various corporate and departmental document repositories and file shares into a single system. The application also incorporated a forms creation workflow with a built in approval system and application admin functionality.

corporate intranets

Managed multiple teams to maintain and enhance the existing application and integrated custom interfaces leveraging web services to tie into multiple back-office systems and data. I also work with a dedicated team that created custom e-forms that provided business process efficiencies.

partner and corporate portals

Experienced in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

custom reporting applications

Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between.

Staff Management

20+ years leading all levels of software engineers with great efficacy; from hiring processes and performance evaluations to budgeting and scheduling.

Praise and reward

Nothing motivates like recognition, and there are many ways to reward staff while staying on budget.

Communicate intelligently

Straightforward and honest, I don't beat around the bush or avoid explaining the problem exactly. I take the time to learn how to effectively communicate with each of my employees.

Accept responsibility

If I make a mistake, I own it. If my team makes a mistake, I own it. Once owned, it is corrected and steps are taken to ensure it doesn't recur. By accepting responsibility, the team is more likely to work harder for the cause.

Deal with confrontation

Whether it's lagging performance or interoffice disputes, I have great success in setting expectations and maintaining harmony in all working environments.

Technology

Hands-on and effective expertise in all disparate technologies, ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between.

Front-end

Manage multiple front-end developers that converted website design files into raw HTML, JavaScript (JS) and/or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) code. This includes the basic website design/layout, images, content, buttons, navigation and internal links. The end result is code that serves as the website's front-end structure, which is used by a back-end developer to add business logics and connect databases and processes, among other processes.

Middleware

Work with specialized developers to create APIs to provide a set of common services that minimizes duplication of efforts and enhanced collaboration between applications that are integrated by the front-end developers into many applications.

Data

Extract transform load (ETL) is the process of extraction, transformation and loading that we used for retrieving data from internal or external data storage. Transform data into an understandable format, where data is typically stored together with an error detection and correction code to meet our operational needs or to transmit and load the data to a partner receiving end.
